The Systems Development Specialist (Applications Developer) should be competent to work on fairly complex assignments (and/or portions of larger, complex systems) and perform a full range of development activities. The Applications Developer generally works under deadlines and should be capable of handling heavy workloads, and operating with only general supervision. The Applications Developer is responsible for the installation, development, implementation, and customization of hardware and software system elements.
The Applications Developer should have progressively responsible related technical experience, use of Java, C++, SQL, or similar languages.
Development, implementation and maintenance of code/program changes utilizing object oriented programming languages such as Java and/or C++.
Significant experience using JEE technologies such as JSP/Servlet, EJB and JMS.
Performance of problem solving and troubleshooting activities.
Accurate deployment of new CSRs, meeting daily deliverables, excellent and timely customer service.
Creation/updates to system and user documentation.
Attendance at regular status meetings and other meetings as required.
Updating the Team Lead daily regarding status of activities.Also responsible for providing a detailed weekly status report of all team activities.
Building and maintaining relationships with Project Managers and CRMs.
Demonstrated commitment to providing customer-focused, quality service.
Providing suggestions regarding improvements for the Gateway.
All other duties as assigned.

Job Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible related technical experience, including 3 year developing large, technically complex systems and responsibility for developing, revising and controlling technical documentation of a complex system.
Special Requirements
3 years development experience using Java and C++. Experience with one of the enterprise relational database management system (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, etc.) is required.
SOA experience.
A background in healthcare is also a plus.
