he Subject Matter Expert-Pilot will provide detailed procedures and system descriptions of the KC-130J aircraft. The individual must coordinate with other members of the development team, and will be responsible for development and programming of computer-based training products. He/she should possess basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. The incumbent will design and program interactive courseware using proprietary development tools and basic Java script programming. He/she will lead a development team to meet schedule requirements.

The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard seeks a COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGIST, Broad Institute-Imaging Platform, to enhance the platform’s image analysis and data mining efforts, mainly from large-scale, cell-based experiments. Will pursue independent research in image and/or data analysis; contribute to advancements in open-source software tools for cell image analysis (www.cellprofiler.org) and data exploration (www.cellvisualizer.org) and assist in applying them to significant questions in the life sciences; and work on scientific publications with an interdisciplinary team. May potentially provide scientific leadership to a small team of highly trained researchers, ensuring that team and project goals align with those of the platform. Research interests should be in one (or more) of the following areas: 1) design, implementation, and testing of novel biological image analysis algorithms; 2) design, implementation, and testing of novel large-scale data analysis, visualization, and exploration methods to the multiparametric data extracted from images; 3) design, implementation, and testing of information technology infrastructure; or 4) using existing software to set up and test image analysis solutions and assist biologists in applying them to particular biological applications (for this research area, programming skills are not absolutely required, but strong biology experience is required).
