RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will function as Technical Lead/Senior Developer and participate in day-to-day development functionality.
- Participate in entire SDLC process
- Gather business requirement and functional spec and translate to technical solutions
- Participate and assist in design process
- Deliver end-product as required in the spec or instructed by Tech Manager/BA and perform unit testing to ensure the quality of the codes
- Deployment/ Release - Provide production support and maintain existing systems by researching and trouble-shooting any issues/problems
- Document the requirements and technical design as required
- Maintain constant communication with other team members, technical manager and the team in Offshore

Should possess strong business skills in the areas of market and/or credit risk.
Will focus on:
-Adding models to the valuation/risk service for derivative and structured products. These models are primarily used in the pricing of cash fixed income securities for the purposes of computing VAR, Specific Risk and/or Counterparty credit risk.
- Working with the risk quant team the person filling this position will work with the market risk system to either add new products into the system or modify the handling of products already being captured. This will entail defining required reference data, working with the source systems to extract this data and finally adding the new products to the market risk system.
- Architecturally augmenting the risk valuation framework and market risk system to improve capabilities and performance.

Qualified Senior Core Java Developer candidates will have five years+ of Senior Java Development experience, preferably in a product environment (usability, etc…), server-side java, web application, development and Oracle PL/SQL (very strong in all 3 areas), can contribute right away, experience in agile development, test-driven design, applying design patterns (they have a good-sized development group involved in all phases of development, including testing/QA), optimally someone who is used to an entrepreneurial environment and ideally a four year degree (preferably an advanced degree) in applied math, engineering or quantitative math but if none of the aforementioned, at least with well grounded high school math and comfortable with concepts like factorial, exponential, etc. (The initial phone screen will consist only of math questions covering these topics).
