Our client, a major brokerage firm located in downtown Manhattan is looking for a Senior Tech Lead/Senior Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will function as Technical Lead/Senior Developer and participate in day-to-day development functionality.
- Participate in entire SDLC process
- Gather business requirement and functional spec and translate to technical solutions
- Participate and assist in design process
- Deliver end-product as required in the spec or instructed by Tech Manager/BA and perform unit testing to ensure the quality of the codes
- Deployment/ Release - Provide production support and maintain existing systems by researching and trouble-shooting any issues/problems
- Document the requirements and technical design as required
- Maintain constant communication with other team members, technical manager and the team in Offshore

Technical Lead: Product Support, BI & Reporting. This position is responsible for Product Support for Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools used in Brokerage Data Management. Responsible to analyze clients / application requirements, and to design and implement software solutions for clients through the use of Actuate or related BI products. Other activities also involved in technical leadership role on project teams; manage and ensure successful delivery of assigned project tasks and provides guidance to more junior team members. Contributes to requirements definition and system design activities for larger projects, and independently performs detailed design activities. Performs report development and Actuate integration development assignments. Along with technical proficiency in Business Intelligence, Reporting Tools against very large relational database environments, knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Mart architectures, concepts and processes is required. Technical leads typically develop technical approaches and ensure that proper BDW/BDM guidelines and standards are followed on assigned projects. Technical leads can also be responsible for leading projects and managing the assigned resources within the context of the assigned project. To that end, Project leadership, planning and organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment complete the requirements for success in this demanding position. Typical tasks and duties: 1. Participate in BI & Reporting Product architecture review and planning meetings. 2. Designing and developing approaches to satisfy project deliverables on assigned projects. Presenting these approaches for review. 3. Write technical documents including but not limited to user guides, best practices etc. 4. Provide weekly status reporting to the Manager. 5. Partner with Development and environment/Support teams to ensure quality implementations and the rollout of standardized and supportable code. 6. Performing requisite code reviews for assigned projects.
