Ultra Electronics Advanced Tactical Systems (ATS) is currently recruiting for a High Performance Computer Scientist to join our Product Innovation organization. This position will be responsible for concurrent software design, implementation and testing. Ultra Electronics ATS designs, develops, delivers, and supports real-time tactical command and control systems. We have delivered systems to all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and many of our Allied and Coalition partners. Our systems and personnel have supported every major conflict since our founding in 1987.
Minimum Requirements:
• 5 years of experience (or Masters degree in Computer Science) with experience in High Performance Computing (HPC)
• 5 years of experience with parallel computing and/or distributed computing in a heterogeneous environment
• Distributed communications experience using DDS, SOAP, JAVA and CORBA or database programming using PostgreSQL or MySQL is a plus
• Competency in C++
Desired Requirements:
• Experience with cluster, multi-threaded and parallel computing
• Experience with multi-core hardware
• Experience with Pthreads, MPI and optimization
• Experience with Linux
