RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary accountability includes
the development and communication of all architectural aspects of the
enterprise’s knowledge capability spanning structured and non-structured data.
This includes Database software, Conceptual modeling from a relational, object,
and dimensional perspective, Logical modeling from a relational, object, and
dimensional perspective, Physical modeling from a relational, object, and
dimensional perspective.
Works with other architecture and development staff in the specification,
implementation, deployment and communication of CSAA’s technology architecture
plan and the integration components required to support it. Accountable for
contributing to the strategy and specifications for architectural frameworks
both within the Information Architecture domain of expertise and across the
enterprise.
· Proposes and recommends selection & consolidation of tools & platforms
to implement the architectural vision
· Accountable for developing processes, standards and recommendations of best
practice within the domain
· Consults on project and program design issues where they involve the extension
or modification of the established architecture in that
domain.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Enterprise
Architecture Skills:
· Experience in defining and implementing conceptual, logical, physical
information and data models as well as object models.
· Proven experience with leading tools and techniques in the information domain,
applicable to a multi-platform environment.
· Proven levels of expertise in the use of model based development using UML and
other domain-specific modeling tools
· Experience with design for fault tolerance, security and scaling.
· Experience with .NET and Java application frameworks.
· Experience in design and implementation of an Enterprise Service Bus, Event
Busses and SOA.
· Vendor experience with leading edge products from IBM, Oracle, Sun, Microsoft
and other enterprise-class suppliers is required.
Skills:
·Strong skills in conceptual, logical, and physical modeling including
relational and dimensional theory and application
·Strong technical skills with specific knowledge in DB2 UDB, Oracle, and SQL
Server RDBM technologies
·Experience with various decision support, reporting & business intelligence
software
·Skilled in dimensional modeling design in a very large data base (VLDB)
environment
·Experience with Enterprise Information Architecture, Enterprise Data
Architecture, Enterprise Reporting, Enterprise Data Warehousing, Operational
Data Storage, Data Marts, Meta Data, and Transactional Data Management for high
performance systems
·Demonstrated ability at integrating non-structure data into the Enterprise
Knowledge Architecture
· Responsible for design, technical architecture, planning, costing, overall
vision, technical team leadership, technical knowledge leadership
· Solid vendor management experience in order to maintain state-of-the-art
knowledge in emerging technologies and to develop CSAA’s image as a leading
corporation utilizing the latest thinking in technology
· Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organization to determine
information systems needs and to build the environment to facilitate the
development of software to meet those needs.
Project &
Resource Management Skills:
· Expertise with project management practices such as schedule management, cost
management, resource management, and risk
management.
Communication Skills:
· Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels and types of
organizational situations
· Effective written communications skills to develop statements of work (SOW),
risk summary and other program documentation.
Business Insight
and Alignment:
· Ability to recognize patterns of emerging requirements across the enterprise
· Demonstrated ability to work with business customers, business analysts, and
senior management from a business perspective, while communicating the salient
technology implications
· Ability to advocate the business positions and requirements with technology
teams.
· Ability to advocate technology value and requirements with senior
management.
Analytic Skills:
· Analytic skills for planning, estimating, budgeting, and monitoring program
work.
