We are currently looking for a qualified Security Consultant to join our Technical Sales team at our west coast office in Los Angeles, CA.
The Consultant is responsible for providing security domain expertise, thought leadership, and in-depth technical understanding of CA Security Solutions, especially in the area of Identity and Access Management (IAM). This includes fostering relationships across customer’s IT silos to understand, build, document and share knowledge of their infrastructure, challenges, and potential technical impact of planned projects, directly assisting account teams in achieving financial targets via the Opportunity Planning process and assisting sales in successfully executing the technical validation phase of the sales cycle. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the fulfillment of the technical portions of RFP/RFI’s and will possess skills in designing high level architecture of CA IAM solutions, building and executing trials, POCs, and complex customized demos for CA customers and prospects.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of 5+ years as a practitioner in IT technology, in areas such as Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris), Web technologies (app servers, web servers, proxy, SOAP), Directory (AD, LDAP) and Web applications (.Net or Java)
* Should have 2+ years hands-on experience with security related technology, which includes products from, CA Security suite (SiteMinder, IdentityMinder, or Identity manger), IBM TIM/TAM (Tivoli Identity manager), SUN Identity Manger, and/or Oracle Oblix/Thor
* Understanding of Federated Identity, SOA Security, RBAC (role based access control), and Compliance (SOX, PCI, BASSEL II) is a plus
* Must exhibit excellent analytical skills, written and oral communication skills
* Current certification in domain specific area of expertise a strong plus
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and training is preferred
* This position will be area based, but may provide National Coverage responsibilities
* Business travel is expected to account for 50% of the year
