Job: Technical Application PM/BA- C#.Net, ASP.Net, SQL Server at Technosphere, Inc. - New York, NY
Our client, a major brokerage firm located in downtown Manhattan is looking for a Senior Application Development Manager- C#/.Net Technologies

He will be responsible in managing the application development strategies and projects including the systems development life cycle and maintenance of the entire applications.

As a Project Manager, he is expected to be knowledgeable in structured project management and application development methodologies. To be succesful in this position, the person must have prior hands-on development experience in Microsoft web based technologies such as VB, ASP, Javascript, IIS or knowledge in the new technologies like .Net and C#.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The candidate will function as Technical Manager/Senior Developer and participate in day-to-day development functionality.
- Perform a leadership role in the software development process by setting SDLC standards, Estimating Development Cost / Effort, maintaining project schedules, guiding and mentoring subordinates in technical issues, performance reviews, etc.
- Manage Client expectations and requirements to ensure timely deliverables and status reports.
- Utilize ASP.NET Ajax Toolkit to completely communicate client requests through Ajax.
- Lead the application migration process from Microsoft.NET Framework v1.1 to Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0.
- Play a key role in deploying the application to production which involved coordinating with the release management team and the business UAT (User Acceptance Testing) users.
- Gather business requirement and functional spec and translate to technical solutions
- Document the requirements and technical design as required
- Maintain constant communication with other team members, technical manager and the team in Offshore

Qualifications
- Must have at least 4 years experience as a Development Manager/Tech Lead developing commercial and/or business applications in financial industry
- At least 5-6 years of experience responsible for enterprise system working in/for Investment Banking domain
- Must have been involved in design and development of .Net projects with at least 4 years hands on experience on C#.
- Must have been exposed to full SDLC process
- Development experience using the following technology: C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, CSS, XML/XSL, ASP, VB Sciprt, ADO, and Java Script
- Must be familiar with SDLC process
- A good understanding in Object-Oriented Programming/Design including experience in C# component-based programming and window service programming
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:
* Concentrated industry expertise in financial services (Merchant Banking, Private Equity, Fund Management).
* Experience with BizTalk, Sharepoint, and SQL Reporting Services.
