The Systems Analyst is an agent of change. They will be responsible for being the bridge between IT and business stakeholders. Having great verbal and written communication skills and being a problem solver are must have qualities for this role. We work across many groups of stakeholder: Network TV Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Analysis, Marketing, Affiliates Relations and Research. The Systems Analyst should continuously grow their knowledge in new technologies in order to response to the stakeholders’ needs in a rapidly changing business environment. In depth knowledge of the business domain coupled with deep technical skills are necessary to pursue a successful career in this role at CBS.
Evaluates business requirements for applications and systems integration, while delivering new or modified capabilities and/or integration solutions; Conducts reviews of and analyzes business and information technology processes and prepares essential groundwork for the development of systems; Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting, analysis, and design with SQL experience and ability to grasp table structure knowledge Strong technical abilities to hold your own in debates with technical architects and engineers, while being a strong business partner who can communicate in an effective way in which business users can understand Leads design discussions and identifies design options; Identifies opportunities where technology can lead to increased efficiency and productivity; Apply critical thinking for problem solving and strategic planning; Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
A minimum of Five (5) years media industry experience; A Minimum Three (3) years of experience with media sales and traffic systems in an advertising sales organization within a media & entertainment or agency Good understanding of the media marketplace and technology trends Demonstrated track record of defining systems that lead to increased efficiency and productivity through the use of technology; Solid understanding of technology solutions including but not limited to analytics, sales enablement, and ad traffic systems; Documented experience with methodology and process related to Business Analysis and SDLC; Excellent analytical, communication (both verbal and written), facilitation/organizational skills; Good Negotiator with strong business acumen Graduate in Business Management, Computer Science or equivalent
