We’re looking for a Programming Producer to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Editorial team, you will pitch, produce and edit curated news content. You will build and shape stories and work with newsrooms and journalists to help them develop best-in-class mobile storytelling. It’s an opportunity to be at the front lines of the future of news. This role will work out of our New York or Los Angeles office.
What you’ll do: Produce, edit, and curate Snapchat news content Report and fact-check major news events Review data, analyze trends, and write reports Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset Excellent verbal and written communication skills Deep understanding of newsroom best practices and ethics Minimum Qualifications: A college degree or equivalent experience in a similar role At least 3 years experience in news reporting, creation, editing or curating across any medium Preferred Qualifications: Excellent editorial judgment and the ability to identify stories that will resonate with Snapchat’s audience Keen attention to detail, including flawless knowledge of English spelling, grammar, and usage Ability to work fast, hit deadlines, multi-task and stay calm under pressure A highly motivated team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, but also works autonomously Comfort with a variable schedule that will include early, late and weekend shifts Video production and editing skills (Premiere, After Effects) are a strong plus
